I have been a board member when A Recovery Place was a dream on paper! I’ve had the honor of working with wonderful, dedicated volunteers who have made the dream a reality."

"My name is Melissa Forsythe, also a Veteran of the United States Army.

In 2018 I was able to achieve my goal of obtaining my Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M University San Antonio.

I have been a part of A Recovery Place, Inc; in some fashion since 2007. Currently I serve as the Secretary and the Volunteer Coordinator.

I recently decided to make the commitment to help make sure the doors remained open to continue helping others."

Tyrell Williams
Board Member, Memberships


Tyrell A. Williams is a person in long term in recovery who has been in recovery since March 17, 2014. Serving as a member and pillar in the community inside and outside the realms of general twelve step fellowships. Joining A Recovery Place as an active board of director in February of 2020. Hailing from two parents whom have struggled with addiction and mental health, Tyrell has worked in treatment programs or rehabilitation centers, as a behavioral technician for the last three years being at the forefront of helping people of all diversities find the hope that he has found.

Peggy Hollin
Board Member, Memberships

"Peggy Hollin has been an active member of South Texas' recovery Community since 2009. She has three kids, two jobs, many friends and a love for life. She also runs a faith based recovery house for women, the Blue House Project. As part of the ARP board, Peggy hopes to continue creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who enters our doors."
